How to import attachments into MNK

Insert Attachments

Attachments are different format of files like documents, images, zip files or even exe files which you can import into your mnk database.

Because these attachments are fully imported into your database, you don't need to save the same documents in your windows folders. You can directly open - edit and save it within MyNotesKeeper.

  • Select the Item where you want to import the attachment and click on Insert-Attachments command.

  • Browse to the file you want to import and click on Open.

  • The file or document is now inserted (attached) to the selected Item.

  • To open an attachment, just double click with your mouse on the attachment.

Insert attachment as a hyperlink

  • You can choose to insert the attachment as a hyperlink instead of importing the complete file into MNK.

  1. Select the Item where you want to import the attachment and click on Insert-Attachments command.
  2. Select the file you want to import as an hyperlink attachment.
  3. Check the Insert attachment as a shortcut box. (You can also check Use relative path if preferred)
  4. Click Open when you are finished.

  • The attachment will now be inserted as a Hyperlink instead of a real attachment. .
You can view also the location of the hyperlink on the Target column.
Just like a real attachment, double click on the Hyperlink Attachment to open the file or document.

Tips

  • If a file is editable, like DOC, XLS, TXT files, you can open-edit and save the attachment directly from MNK.
